Just after my FA (Financial Accounting) class ended, one of the guys sitting behind me said in joy ”One more day to Chinese New Year!”. Oh man, another year of celebrating CNY alone here in Singapore. Well, I don’t mean “alone” in the sense of without anyone around me, but I mean without my family. Last year was the only year that I could be at home to celebrate CNY with my family and you after so many years. I remember last year around this period of time I was busy preparing and decorating my house for CNY with my family. I miss it again this year!!! Argh!!!
Anyway, one of my new juniors have been asking me whether I got any plan for this CNY as it is her first year of celebreting CNY without her family. She feels so depressing especially this month of the year as she misses home so much now. Once again, I feel the sense of responsibility of being a big sister! So my batchmates and I are bringing them out to China Town on the CNY eve
Anyway, it also reminds me of how I was 5 or 6 years back. I went through the same emotional state. But fortunately, I had my seniors and my batchmates. I must say without them, my life in Singapore would never be the same. They are not bloodly related to you, but somehow they are just like your brothers and sisters. They are like second family of yours. I still remember those times that my batchmates and I called our seniors to bring us out every weekend and they brought us out without complaning, those times that we turned to them for advice, those times that they helped us without muttering a single words, and etc.
So Seniors, I just want to say THANK YOU for all that you have done for me and my batchmates! You guys have given us a good role model, and because of that, I want to give what you have given me to all the new juniors
